On-Site Blasting Ireland
Fully mobile blasting where the asset cannot move — our compressors, pots, abrasive, containment and welfare travel to you.
Most of what we blast cannot be moved: a building elevation, a portal frame, a bridge, a tank in situ, a slab in a working warehouse, a plant item bolted into a process line. On-site blasting means the plant comes to the asset. Rayco mobilises diesel compressors, blast pots, graded abrasive, dust containment, extraction, lighting, generators and welfare to sites in all 32 counties, from our base in Co. Wexford. On arrival we set up containment, protect anything not being blasted, blast to the specified standard, collect and remove spent abrasive, and leave the surface ready for the coating contractor. What we need from a site is access, a laydown area for the compressor and pot, and agreement on working hours and any permit requirements.

Key Benefits
Frequently Asked Questions
What do you need from our site?
Vehicle access, a laydown area for the compressor and blast pot, agreed working hours, and details of any permit-to-work or induction requirements. We supply our own power, air, media and welfare.
Do you travel to remote locations?
Yes. We work nationwide and regularly mobilise to rural and coastal sites where nothing can be brought back to a workshop.
Is on-site blasting more expensive than workshop blasting?
Not necessarily. Transporting large fabrications or plant to a workshop and back is often the bigger cost, which is why on-site working suits structural steel, tanks, buildings and installed equipment.
